The converter is designed to operate in continuous conduction mode (CCM) to eliminate the reverse recovery losses associated with diodes. The converter consists of a transformer, a MOSFET switch, a rectifier, a capacitor, and a feedback control circuit.

The transformer is the key component of the converter, providing isolation between the input and output and stepping down the voltage to the required level.
